MOVE_UK and GATEway were showcased at the recent CBI Annual Conference 2017 as part of London’s Smart Mobility Living Lab in Greenwich. The Conference was held on 6 November 2017 and attended by over 1500 people, including business leaders from across the UK and around the world.
This year’s Conference themes were globalisation and automation. Attendees were able to find out more about the Smart Mobility Living Lab, and see first-hand some of the important work MOVE_UK and GATEway are doing and the technologies being tested.
MOVE_UK aims to accelerate the development of automated driving systems through connected validation and big data analysis. GATEway aims to develop and investigate the use, perception and acceptance of fully automated vehicles in the UK. Both these projects are jointly funded by Government and industry, and both are taking place in the Living Lab.
The Living Lab will create a world-leading, real-world test environment in London for the development of future mobility solutions. The Living Lab is backed by Government funding from its £100m UK CAV test bed competitive fund and will help positioning the UK as a leader in CAV technologies and mobility services worldwide.
